Welcome to my 2010 website.
I am a Brisbane-based trumpet player who is currently completing a Masters of Music at the Queensland Conservatorium looking at confluent music and the possible links to Gunther Schuller's Third Stream movement. Part of this investigation has also involved three performance projects over the past two years: Trickster, Sympatico and the ZBB.
Sympatico (trumpet, piano, percussion, laptop) was recently successful in obtaining a performance grant with the New Music Network (based in Sydney) and will present a concert at the Queensland Conservatoriumof Music on Saturday 28 August.
New York trumpeter, Jon Nelson, travelled to Australia in May this year - we worked on a few projects together, including a host of music with the Genkin Jazz Philharmonic culminating with a performance at the Brisbane Jazz Club - videos are online on youtube.
